The program identify the best allocation of the budget among different products on different marketing channels. Managers provide their initial allocation and the program improves on the initial decision to obtain an optimal solution with a higher ROI.
2. Healthcare: Conducting a time-motion study to compare the distribution of the times doctors spent on various tasks on their daily hospital rounds before and after a major IT overhaul – switching from several disintegrated patient record systems to an integrated electronic health record system.
3. Government: Working with a county government to study the potential impact on the local labor market when a new casino was under construction and expected to recruit a large number of employees from the region.
